Steven Zhou is a celebrated artist, educator, and entrepreneur whose artwork bridges Eastern and Western artistic traditions.
With a career spanning decades, marked by numerous exhibitions and accolades, Zhou has established himself as a vital voice in contemporary art. His paintings have graced galleries from New York to Los Angeles.
Beyond his own acclaimed paintings, he founded the Red Yellow and Blue Art School in the United States in 1998. Over the years, the school expanded to eight branches in New Jersey, Long Island, Flushing, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Elmhurst.
This educational institution has nurtured nearly 100,000 students, many of whom gained admission to America’s most prestigious art programs, while adult learners applied their skills in new career roles.

Steven’s Artistic Journey
Early Training & Career
Steven Zhou began his formal art education studying oil painting at Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Department of Literature and Art.
He further refined his skills through advanced studies at the Shanghai People’s Art Theatre, where his work as a stage art designer deepened his understanding of spatial composition and visual storytelling – techniques that would later become hallmarks of his painting style.
